STREET EFFECTIVENESS
One of the most common questions any martial art instructor hears
is: "Does this stuff actually work in a real fight?"
In the case of Wing Chun, the answer is a resounding: "Yes!"
The next question then becomes: "How does it work?"
The best way to measure Wing Chun is to first explore the empty-handed
forms, and the wooden dummy form. Their emphasis on developing
direct, uncomplicated control and instinctive response reveal
a style devastating in its simplicity, and unmatched in its effectiveness,
whether in practice or on the street.
The first form alone reveals the strength of the Wing Chun guard,
and the ability of simple movements to provide powerful offense,
and resilient defense.
